The CAPACITY Programs support economic development capacity building, investment readiness and business and community support.

Eligible applicants include:

  • Local and Regional Governments
  • Indigenous Communities
  • Non-profit Organizations


READY– Capacity Building Program

Supports the development of targeted strategies and tools required to attract economic investment and to support regional marketing and collaboration. The program is designed with a “find your fit” formula adapted to community needs as they move along the economic development continuum.

Up to $30,000 in funding is available, up to a maximum of 50% of the eligible project budget. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

RECOVER – Business and Community Support Program

Provides capacity funding for new, temporary employment positions in rural, remote and Indigenous communities (with populations under 25,000) to support business and community economic recovery, diversification and growth. Funded by the Province of BC and administered by ICET, funding is available for the ICET region, as well as additional, eligible Island and Coastal locations.

Funding up to $70,000 per organization, to a maximum of 100% of the eligible project budget is available.

Available funding is now fully subscribed.
